Skittle Machine

My little sister turned 24!! She LOVES Skittles, so we made her a skittle machine for her birthday cake. The cake is Lemon Cream with Cream Cheese frosting filling.
The cake is covered with Fondant. The bowl is filled with skittles.

We had a family birthday party for her and the best part was when my nephew, Gabe, picked up on all my subtle decorations. He was looking at the cake and all the sudden it all hit him... "The know looks like a B because her name is Brittany. The coins are 24 cents pieces because that is how old she is turning." It was fun to have a kid pick up on my fun ideas i added.

I really had fun with this cake because it was the first time decorating with my new air brush!!! Thanks mom and dad!!! It is always fun adding new techniques to cake decorating!!

Ford Mustang

3D carved cake in the shape of a Ford Mustang. As i was preparing for this cake i was watching a show on tv when they were making a cake similar to this. the lady was saying how most people think it's easy to make a car out of cake (i thought that) but that it is actually pretty tough to make it....and i agree. I had a LOT of help from scott to make this cake. Together we did it!!
The back of the car. He celebrated his 21st birthday on Christmas day!
This is the front of the car. It's not too easy to make a horse look like a horse when it's that small.

motorcycle cake

This was my first attempt at a carved 3d cake. it is supposed to look like a motorcycle, just in case you can't tell :) It's a chocolate pound cake with chocolate filling. it was stressfull during the carving of the cake but with scott's help i think it turned out pretty cool!
